Find folder

Purpose of this building block

With this building block you can pick different folders based on the contents of your variables. This block works in the same way as the Find File building block, but it stores the ID of the folder that has been found in the folderId variable.

Possible use cases

  • Find folders containing sorted information (like invoices of a specific year)
  • Save documents into folders matching the contained information

Configuration

Click on the bold text in the title of the building block to open the configuration dialog.

Useful combinations

Pick and send correct newsletter

language
folderId
month
folderId
folder[].fileId
folder[].fileId
fileId

You are sending out monthly newsletters with attachments in different languages (e.g. matching your customers country of origin).

Using the Find folder building block you can find the correct folder at path newsletter/${language}/${month} where the relevant files were maintained.

The List files building block uses the folderId in order to list all files contained in the selected folder.

All files can then easily be downloaded ...

fileId

Newsletter

... and attached to your monthly email to your customers.
